Las Vegas City Schools was honored to host a Cybersecurity Tabletop exercise yesterday! We welcomed the New Mexico Office of Cybersecurity, the New Mexico Office of Broadband Access & Expansion, and Poms and Associates to our district for this vital event.
Representatives from Luna Community College, PeƱasco, APS, and LVCS joined forces to run simulation exercises, practicing real-world responses to cyberattacks and security incidents.
"We are working hard and collaborating with other schools to ensure that our district is Cyber ready and Cybersecure," says LVCS IT Department Director, Mario Salas.
Our Cybersecurity & IT Specialist, Eric Benavidez, added: "It was a very informative exercise to see what other organizations are doing as well as to further develop our incident response."
Together, we are building a safer digital future for our students and community!
